“Seeing in motion is a philosophy of life.”

In all Kovásznai’s works images swish, paintings, pthotography and graphics jitter and soar. In 1963 he is the first to make a tentative film for adults in an animation filmstudio in Hungary. This way he becomes the enfant terribble of Pannónia Filmstudio. His films pertaining to the world of fine art are all surprising and yet familiar planets in the solar system of filmhistory, graced by the spirit of experimenting, bearing witness to masterful picture-building. 25 short films and 1 musical-animation feature film makes up his life-work, which are available in bookstores as parts of a monography recently published. This is the first film oeuvre in the history of Hungarian art which was digitalized and renovated from the original negatíve film and is available on DVD!
